This gigantic formation in wheat clearly represents a winged disc, the symbol of the Egyptian Sun God Ra.

Once again, the energy in the formation was tangible. In the central disc, the seeds seemed - literally - to have been vaporised. Though the plants appeared to be normal, the seed-cases were empty. Some saw this as a response to the circle energies. It has been suggested by farmers that this condition is due to "take-all", a fungus disease caused by dampness. This - however - does not explain why the hollow seed-cases were found only in the central circle.

The crop was generally very lightly laid and is springing back upwards with uncharacteristic speed.
