Within a week of the arrival of the Barbury Castle crescents and situated five or six miles to the south-west, this origami-like six-pointed star appeared. Once again, a coleague told us that it was a Japanese device, this time meaning ³home² and again we would appreciate information. Insofar as formations seem to share design characteristics or to be produced by the same team, then certainly Beckhampton seems to be the sister of the three crescents at Barbury Castle.
This hexagram seems to be made of a ribbon of crop which elegantly folds and turns to lay out its pattern. Six-fold geometry is a standard crop circle form but the six-pointed star is not one of the most common manifestions. I cannot recall ever seeing a formation which was so clearly ribbonlike.
